VCGA Pokies Decisions PDF Print E-mail

It’s the mission of the Victorian Casino & Gaming Authority (VCGA) to "be at the forefront of effective regulation of the gambling industry".

One of the roles of the Authority is to make decisions about the licensing of gaming venue operators and about applications to approve premises for gaming or to amend the conditions of existing licenses (eg. variations to the number of gaming machines at a venue or the hours of operation of a gaming room).

The report of decisions made at the Public Session of the VCGA’s December 2003 Meeting also shows that the Melbourne Bowling Club (City of Stonnington) is no longer a gaming venue, with the licensee not renewing its Venue Operators Licence and the gaming machines being removed by the Gaming Operator. GM can also report that application procedures were currently underway for one venue in the City of Kingston to increase its machine numbers and for a new venue to be approved in the City of Stonnington.
